Hi I’m a pupil from Green Class, and I’m going to tell you about our school trip from Wednesday.
We went to Penshaw Monument, Penshaw Tearooms and Herrington Country Park. Firstly we climbed all of the stairs at Penshaw Monument. We were all worn out once we made it to the top. It was a very nice view up there. Then we went down through the woods and ended up at Penshaw Tearooms. At Penshaw Tearooms we found a seat outside in the sunshine. The students got ice cream and the teachers got a cup of tea or coffee with a cake. We were asked to review the ice cream by the waitresses as we were the first people to try it from the milk that they have there. It was delightful! Then we went to Herrington Country Park and we walked up to a mini Stone Henge. We could look through small view holes in mini Stone Henge to see things like Durham Cathederal, Newbottle and Penshaw Hill. In one of the Penshaw Hill view holes, Brad had to take a bottle out of it so we could see it properly. Then we went round the pond where we saw geese, swans and ducklings. After this we had a picnic in the park. Then we played on the park, we went on the slide, the tyre swing, swings and a zipline. We had loads of fun throughout the whole day. After the play park we went back to school on the minibus.
